We can take these digital x-rays on CD and convert them to hard copy x-ray film that the SV will accept. We can take hard copy films and duplicate the images or copy the films to a CD. Xrayexpress.net also provides free archiving of these digital files, so they can be easily retrieved at a later date if needed. This service is provided at no extra cost to you and will speed up delivery times of your existing archived x-ray films. The cost of our CD to film transfer is $7.50 per film, plus $15.00 per CD. Scanning of hard copy x-ray film to CD is $4.00 per sheet and $15.00 per CD; this comes with an image viewer at no extra cost. Film to film duplication is $7.50 a sheet and could assist with maintaining your own records, since the SV will not return x-ray films.
You may ship your order to us by any means you wish. We recommended FedEx or UPS since these are traceable with the tracking numbers. You may also choose to use USPS (United States Postal Service). Please be aware that these shipments are not traceable unless you use Registered Mail. Priority Mail will only show the package has been delivered, not where it is at any given time. Needless to say we have not had the greatest experience with USPS.
Before you ship your order, we request that you send an email to us so that we know the shipment is on its way. You may use our order form, please see our forms page for the online form or you may print the Word document and mail it with your order. Also include a tracking number if possible. In your package please include a short message containing your needs for the order, the address you wish the order returned, and a daytime phone number that we may contact you with for payment, and an email address. Upon receipt of order, we will send an email confirmation. Our normal turnaround is 48 hours (rush services are available, call for pricing). Once your order is complete, we will call you advising we are ready to ship and obtain your credit card information for payment.
Please Note; some CD’s created by Veterinarians have images that are in a preparatory format and cannot be converted to x-ray film. In these cases most vets can give you a CD either in Dicom or Jpg. We prefer Dicom (.dcm) since it has the best resolution, however we can convert Jpg’s images to x-ray film as well. You should ask your vet how their equipment outputs its images prior to sending your CD to us.
